We are half-way through our first 'Beginners Dressmaking' course at Miss. Mabel's in Burgess Hill - we are small in number but brimming with talent!

Emma is a gifted maker and joined our class to learn dressmaking -

What about this for a first attempt!

What about this for a first attempt!

After spending the first week learning basic machine skills and also making samples - learning to install both regular & invisible zips - Emma went on to choose a simple skirt pattern.

This is just the sample skirt she has made in some cheap fabric to try out techniques & perfect the fit - but it looks so good she is going to finish it off to wear!

Next week we will be cutting out the fabric she chose to make up the skirt and stitching up the garment using the skills & tips she has learned so far.

We still have space if you would like to join us for the second half of the course - please get in touch - we would love you to join us!
