Well done once again for these fabulous ladies that spent several hours yesterday creating amazing things, raising £260 for two charities - St. Peters & St. James Hospice and Hope House Haiti.

We had a great array of crafts to choose from - these owl doorsteps were definitely my favourite! Can you believe that one of these ladies had only used a sewing machine once before!

A variety of things were made by this creative bunch - table-runners, traditional kitchen-style lampshades, cushions & bags....

... & meters of bunting, patiently stitched amidst chatting & giggling with tea, coffee & delicious homemade cake & soup.

I love the array of different machines - from top of the range modern ones to several hand-machines - one still going strong dating from the early1900's and still stitching beautifully!
Thanks must go to the amazing 'Queen of Crafting' Sarah Bridger for setting this all up!
It looks as if there is demand already for another day of crafting so please get in touch if you would like to be notified of the next event.
In the mean time, there seems to be several people interested in learning to make their own clothes so that is something I will be thinking about for sooner rather than later - again, please get in touch if this is something you would be interested in.
Thank you all again for supporting two well deserving charities.
